The idea for so pretty came to us over a glass of wine one afternoon, as we celebrated almost 25 years of friendship. With all of our children gone from the house and at school all day, we found ourselves feeling a little melancholy, and a bit excited to have claimed something we hadn’t had in a long while -- free time!
It wasn’t long before the free time was filled and these two stay-at-home moms became working moms as we went to task on finding a space, purchasing our lines, and of course, the hardest part: choosing a name…
The name so pretty came only after crossing off many others on a long list. But we knew we wanted customers to enter our shop, and say, “that’s so pretty!” And they did.
The so pretty boutique, which was located in Shrewsbury NJ for several years, housed all things pretty for women and children. It was the perfect spot to pick out a special baby gift, or the perfect accessory for oneself. It didn’t take long to realize that it was our selection of monogrammed gifts that kept people coming back again and again! We purchased our own embroidery machine, and were able to expand our offerings and focus on what we knew was our specialty: helping people choose a truly one-of-a-kind gift!
In 2006, a little surprise addition to the so pretty family helped us make the decision to close the store, and create our online boutique. Now we enjoy being work at home moms, (and we know... we're all work at home moms!) as we continue to expand our selection of unique gifts and personalized items.
